Ventilation regulations in Spain have a long tradition. The majority of current regulation is based on a few UNE standards, developed with the consensus of all interested parties and approved by a recognized standards body. Table of Contents Development of the RITE standard, a vacuum in the ventilation of industrial warehouses Application of the UNE- Standard HS regulations The current regulations on the ventilation of industrial warehouses in Spain However, this regulation is especially scarce in terms of ventilation in industrial buildings , where it can be said that the regulations are developed in a few lines, materialized in the Annex to a Royal Decree where the air renewal limits that must be defined are defined. have these spaces. Development of the RITE standard, a vacuum in the ventilation of industrial warehouses In , as a consequence of technological advances and changes in powers that occurred in the Spanish State, a new regulation approved by Royal Decree / was prepared , the "Regulation of thermal installations in buildings (RITE)" and which is also developed through complementary technical instructions (ITE). Specifically, in section of the design ITE , the conditions for maintaining acceptable air quality in the premises are established .

To do this, the ventilation criteria included in Standard UNE of : Air conditioning are taken as reference. Ventilation for acceptable air quality in the air conditioning of the premises. The RITE regulations are limited to thermal installations, that is, those fixed air conditioning installations such as heating, cooling and ventilation, both in new construction and in existing buildings. This mandatory standard establishes a minimum value of l/s per m per hour for offices and l/s per m for meeting rooms. Application of the UNE- Standard The UNE- standard , which has been annulled by UNE-EN -:, is the standard that has served as a reference for the development of the RITE standards, and it establishes Vatican City Email List requirements for ventilation systems of non-residential buildings with human occupation. This standard applies to the design, energy efficiency of buildings and implementation of ventilation, air conditioning and air conditioning systems of non-residential buildings subject to human occupation. However, both in the RITE regulations and in the aforementioned standard there is an important legal gap regarding the regulation of the ventilation of industrial buildings , since the UNE-EN -: standard itself excludes from application those locations where industrial processes are developed, so there is a certain gap in European standards. HS regulations The ventilation of buildings is also included in the HS Basic Document (DB HS), which applies to the Technical Building Code (CTE), by which the entire construction sector must be governed.

In this sense, one of the main sections of this document is HS , which establishes the criteria by which the ventilation of buildings must be governed to improve indoor air quality. This regulation also applies to the interior of residential buildings, waste warehouses, storage rooms, parking lots and garages. This section of the DB HS is responsible for setting minimum parameters for ventilation and air renewal in buildings. To do this, it uses a mechanism that is responsible for extracting polluted air and injecting clean air, as well as instructions for evacuating all gas emissions that come from the thermal comfort systems of the buildings. The current regulations on the ventilation of industrial warehouses in Spain T he regulations on ventilation in industrial buildings in Spain are regulated in Annex III of Royal Decree / , of April , which establishes the minimum health and safety provisions in workplaces, where they are established. the environmental conditions of the workplace so that they do not pose a safety risk to workers. It establishes the minimum air renewal in work premises, corresponding to cubic meters of clean air per worker and hour, when dealing with sedentary work and environments not contaminated by tobacco smoke or hot.
