The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is a work permit that allows international students graduating in Canada to work in the country after completing their studies. The PGWP is an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to stay in Canada and gain work experience in their field of study. PGWP Features: Duration : The PGWP has a maximum duration of three years, depending on the duration of the student's studies. Eligibility : To be eligible for the PGWP, a student must have completed a post-secondary study program at an educational institution in Canada. The study program must last a minimum of eight months and the student must have studied for a full period. Application : The student must submit their PGWP application within 180 days of issuing their study completion letter and it must be valid with their study permit. You must also be in Canada at the time of application. Conditions : Students who hold a PGWP have conditions that they must follow.

For example, you must work full-time or part-time phone number data  paid jobs and you must work in jobs related to your field of study. Additionally, the PGWP cannot be renewed once it expires as students must ensure they meet immigration requirements to obtain permanent residency. Benefits : Students who hold a PGWP can gain valuable work experience in Canada. Additionally, you may be eligible to apply for permanent residency through the Canadian Experience Program (CEC) as long as you meet the requirements. Having a PGWP (Post-Graduation Work Permit) can have a significant impact on the families and peers of international students who intend to work in Canada after graduation. Below we present some of the main impacts: Family reunion : If the international student has a family, obtaining a PGWP may allow them to live and work in Canada as well. For example, if the student has a spouse, the spouse can apply for an open work permit so they can allow you to work any job in Canada while the student works in their field of study.

Financial support : If the student has a family, working in Canada with a PGWP can provide an additional income to help support the family. This can be especially important if the student has student loan debt or if the family needs additional financial assistance. Future planning : Obtaining a PGWP can also allow couples and families to plan their long-term future in Canada. If you and your family enjoy your time in Canada, you can apply for permanent residency through the Canadian Experience Program (CEC) or other immigration programs. Obtaining permanent residency can allow a family to settle long-term in Canada. It is important to bear in mind that obtaining the PGWP does not automatically guarantee family reunification or permanent residence. Spouses and family members must comply with immigration requirements and submit their own applications for work permits or permanent residence. Additionally, the PGWP has specific conditions that must be met, such as working in a job related to the student's field of study.
