A separate collection in the terminology database. The team thanks the Ministry of Culture, Heritage and . A second resource recently added to has to do with the terminology database, which is a list of abbreviated bills from the present day. The Translation Section makes this list available to staff for easy access by the public. Although these titles are not strictly terms, we believe they are more suitable for a term base than a parallel corpus. We are very grateful to the Section for sharing these collections and other valuable material with us over the years.
Specific terms can be found in the title of a bill, and a common word Latest Mailing Database or phrase often has a different meaning in a statutory context, such as an appropriations bill. Legislative drafters must insist on using the same words and phrases when referring to the same thing in different documents. This is why from time to time a version no longer in normal circulation is found in legislation, see, for example, the Tourist Traffic Act, which, according to today's custom, might be called the Tourist Traffic Act.
It's also worth mentioning that many of the titles in this collection belong to the pre-standard era, so the spelling of some words doesn't match the spelling conventions of the official standard, eg. A parallel corpus is a collection of legislative texts in digital format. All these texts are aligned so it is possible to search for a term or phrase in either Irish or English. Generates a list of results based on a corpus search and displays.
