The administration of midazolam therefore seems to be a good method to prevent the unconscious storage of information with this specific combination of anesthetic agents. De Roodes third study was carried out with volunteers. These were not anesthetized, but were given two low and two high levels of sedation with different drugs midazolam and propofol. The effect on memory was determined by playing sixteen words to the subjects through headphones.
These words were mentioned with a certain frequency by a control group. The words were repeated three times during the study. Two hours after sedation, subjects were told the beginning of words and asked to mobile number list finish the word. The initial syllables of the sixteen words on the tape were also included.
De Roode “During the low level, an implicit memory effect was found with both drugs. The subjects chose the word they had been told during sedation more often than might be expected.
