SMART goals: what they are and why they are important

For today's post we want to talk to you about SMART objectives and their importance in the success of a business and marketing strategy. In fact, many people still today do not fully understand the difference between objectives and expectations and do not pay sufficient attention to defining the set of results they expect from their business. It is a fact, which often jeopardizes the very survival of the company. The objectives must therefore be SMART, which stands for: S-specific , therefore linked to the type of business in which one operates; M-imeasurable , from a quantitative point of view; Attainable, i.e. reachable, therefore realistic and not too far from reality; R-relevant, therefore important for the development of the project in the medium-long term; T-ime based , i.e. temporally definable; Only after having defined the objectives in this way, can we move on to the definition of the strategies aimed at achieving them and the definition of metrics (KPI), useful for monitoring performance and therefore the ability to achieve those objectives. A business cannot be improvised, but planned over time and thanks to SMART objectives it is easier to focus on it.
