Instead of reporting only once a year, we accelerated the integration of that commitment into our project process. We decided to take a leap in quality by creating energy models for all reportable projects in and completed an AIA Framework for Design Excellence (FDE-) spreadsheet for each project. We began enterprise-wide use of Sefaira in June , and by the end of September, all projects had an FDE- spreadsheet and all reportable projects had an energy model with established performance targets. Today, each project begins with an FDE- high-performance plan and energy model; and each model has a zero balance design option. Instead of focusing on improvements or isolated projects, we go all in and analyze each project. Each project has a designated team member responsible for performance analysis. The ten themes of the AIA framework are addressed with high-performance objectives that provide valuable options for clients to consider.
