New of all the places I've eaten here over the years (and I've been in town a few times now), these are my favorites: Mom's Diner - Best Boy Sandwich in town. Get catfish! Acme Oyster House – Delicious char-grilled fresh oysters. (Horrible Bloody Marys though.) Drago's Seafood Restaurant - Although it feels super touristy, they have the best char-grilled oysters in the city. – Incredible fried chicken and jambalaya. Located near Jackson Square. Gumbo Shop - Come here for all your Cajun food needs! Cajun Seafood – Casual Southern favorites like gumbo and pops. - Contemporary with a global flavor.
